My Philosophy
My firm belief is that first impressions are what matters most, and therefore my client’s style and closet should consist of certain staples that makes it quick and easy to pull an outfit together to give the very impression she wants to lead with. Once that easy base is established, it’s time to intersperse fun and playful pieces that will elevate those basics for other occasions.
So, you may ask, where does that belief come from and how did I arrive in the world of fashion?

My Beginnings
You heard I was born and raised in Denmark, which is equal to growing up with classic and stand-the-test-of-time designs such as Bang & Olufsen, Georg Jensen, and mid-century furniture designers such as Arne Jacobsen, Kaare Klint and Poul Henningsen (PH), just to name a few.
My mom was a very accomplished seamstress who made all her own clothes as a young adult, as well as my sister’s and my ballgowns for ballroom dancing competitions.
So basically I grew up in a classic and stylish, yet simple environment. But I had big dreams…

On to Sonoma and Las Vegas
Fast forward to London in my early 20’s, a business and finance degree, a cool job in The City (London’s Wall St.) and bam – met the boy – got married – two kids and a move to Sonoma via a few years in Philly (boy’s home town) and I was itching to get back to work.
Getting back into the finance world was not a desirable option for me for a multitude of reasons.
Fast forward to when I was introduced to cabi in 2006, it just seemed ideal for so many reasons. I jumped in and immediately felt I had landed in the right spot I never knew I was looking for.
One more fast forward, to 2020 and a decision to leave California, I find myself in a new market in Las Vegas. We are loving it here, and I’m having so much fun connecting with women and sharing cabi with them. I love that I can build new, while still serving my clients back in the Bay Area as well as the other locations I find myself in every season.

Working finance in San Francisco was not an option. My niche field did not exist there, and we also did not want our kids to grow up being raised by a nanny, which would have been necessary.

Why I Love What I Do
I have such a ball with the women I meet, the clothes I show them and I love their smile when they leave a session with me. They don’t feel sold to, they don’t feel ill-advised, as I’m always honest, and they come back season after season to continue building their wardrobes.
I find it immensely rewarding to get to help women find ways to flatter their bodies, feel good about how they look and feel great in what they wear.

The Last Bit
What else do I do: I love playing tennis and I hit the gym to work out a bit and stay strong for tennis. Tennis is such a mental challenge. It’s all about being focused and calm inside. If you can shut the rest out and just focus on your mindset, you have a good chance of playing well. I take that approach to pretty much everything in life. Don’t let the outside chaos get in the way of what I need to do for me and my family.
I do enjoy cooking for guests and hunting for new exciting recipes. Daily cooking, not so much and luckily my husband is happy to take care of that.
And then there’s the family. Kids are young adults now, and all through their upbringing I have always worked to bring the Danish hygge (I’m sure you have heard of it) to our lives.
I stay out of politics as I feel it’s too heated and rarely results in good conversations.
